The current product is available for all Macs based on the PowerPC processor that Apple has traditionally used. This includes Mac mini, iMac, iBook, PowerBook, and Power Mac. As you may be aware, Apple is in the midst of introducing over next year or so, a new family of Macs based on Intel processors. We expect to be shipping our equivalent version of HyperChem for these "Intel-based Macs" sometime during the first quarter of this year. Customers will then be able to freely shift their copy of HyperChem from a PowerPC to an Intel Mac.
We will also be offering free upgrades of HyperChem for Mac through 2006. This will include any new capabilities we add to HyperChem for Mac through 2006.
The list price of the new product is $995 for a single academic license, the same for our Windows product. However, for a limited time, we are offering HyperChem for Mac at the Special Introductory Price of $595. This special pricing will last only until August 31, 2006. |
