USB:

    The USB lock is a small device which attaches to the USB port of your computer.  The device must be connected for HyperChem to run.  An advantage of this method is that you may run the software on multiple computers (example: home computer and work computer) by connecting the lock to the computer you wish to use.

Parallel Port:

    The Parallel Port lock is a small device which attaches to the parallel port of your computer.  The device must be connected for HyperChem to run.  An advantage of this method is that you may run the software on multiple computers (example: home computer and work computer) by connecting the lock to the computer you wish to use.

Software-Locked:

    Software-Locked versions of HyperChem are licensed via a license file issued by HyperChem.  During installation you will be presented with a locking code.  To receive your license send an email containing (locking code, serial number) to license@hyper.com.  A license file will be generated and emailed to you.
