HyperChem 7.x Hardware lock Troubleshooting

 

Please do the following to make sure that the Sentinel System Driver is installed correctly:

1. Please remove the hardware lock from the computer.

2. From the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel, uninstall the Sentinel System Driver.

3. Restart the computer.

4. Download and install the latest version of the Sentinel System Driver (see below) or reinstall the original hardware lock drivers by executing \install\hyper75\drivers\setup.exe from the HyperChem 7.5 CD

5. Reboot the computer again.

6. Replace the hardware lock on the computer 

7. [USB Only] Run the Add New Hardware... Control Panel wizard. This will recognize the new USB lock and find the Sentinel System Driver software.

8. [USB Only] If the lock is not recognized as a 'Rainbow USB Token' then run the Add New Hardware wizard from the Windows Control Panel. The correct drivers should be automatically found and associated with the HyperChem hardware lock.

9. Run HyperChem again.
