The middle mouse button is not meant to be used in HyperChem 4.5 for SGI. However, in certain dialogs, the dragging capability of the middle button is accidently active. In such a case, use of the middle button could lead to a complete lock-up of your machine.
To disable mouse dragging, edit the file:
/usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/Hyperchem
Add these two lines:
Hyperchem*dragInitiatorProtocolStyle: DRAG_NONE
Hyperchem*dragReceiverProtocolStyle: DRAG_NONE
after this line:
Hyperchem*foreground: white
We recommend that all users of HyperChem 4.5 for SGI implement this fix.
